Out-of-County Foster Care Social Worker - Located throughout North Carolina: The primary purpose of this part time position is to make face to face visits with children that are in foster care and placed outside of their home county in compliance with NC Standards for Child Welfare. Work includes making visits to where the child is placed, attending treatment team meetings and court, contacting collaterals, updating the child's life book, assisting with sibling visitation and providing required documentation to the department of social services who has custody of the child. Must be skilled in easily establishing rapport with children and agency staff and preparing written documentation and reports, NC Child Welfare Pre-Service Training and child welfare experience in a county DSS is required. MSW, BSW preferred. Position is for approximately 4-6 hours per month.
Supervised Visitation Social Worker - Located throughout North Carolina: The primary purpose of this position is to supervise foster care visits for the Department of Social Services and to provide detailed observation report of each visit. Requires an in-depth knowledge of family dynamics and the ability to appropriately respond if intervention is needed during the visit to assure the child's safety. MSW, BSW preferred. Duties may include working after 5:00 pm or week-ends. Position is for approximately 4-6 hours per month.

Program Director Residential Services
Southlight has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Director for our Residential Services. This position manages two residential facilities: One is a 16-bed Perinatal/Casaworks grant-funded facility in Fuquay Varina for pre and post partum mothers recovering from addiction. The other program is a supervised independent living program for chronically addicted single adults, located in Raleigh. Ideal candidates for this opportunity are those who possess LCAS licensure, 3-5 years of combined clinical and management expertise, and a passion for residential treatment programs.Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee planning, delivery and evaluation of a continuum of residential substance abuse services that comply with county, state and federal standards and regulations.
- Develop and manage program budget to include revenue shortfalls and expenses.
- Manage all staff on location, including hiring, timekeeping, performance evaluation, employee relations, compliance, scheduling, timekeeping, discipline and termination.
- Master's degree in substance abuse or human services.
- Minimum three-five years experience managing grant or public funded substance residential facilities. Experience with mothers, children and adults preferred.
- LCAS strongly preferred.
